Teddy, sorry I must disagree with you. The last thing I want, or that our
world needs, is MORE regulation. There is so much regulation everywhere in
our lives that many people simply do not take responsibility for their own
actions anymore. And they don't take blame for their own actions anymore,
either, but manage to find someone else to blame. Such is the stuff lawsuits
are made of. Those who are truly conscientious and try to do the right thing
are often so stifled by regulations that they can hardly take a breath for
fear of breaking some rule, and some of them are pretty obscure. I'm still
in favor of placing the responsibility squarely on the shoulders of the
individuals and making them accountable. Someone mentioned "shunning" ....
the Amish practice this in their society and I'll bet it works well. Nothing
is more embarassing or sobering than being frowned on by your peers.
