Re: RC: Being Judged (was Look for a horse)

Yes, Sylvia, this thread started with a new rider asking about CTRs.
However, I pointed out that CTRs is not the only way to get started. And as
this is a list full of outspoken (at least on e-mail) people, we got a
lively debate going! :) I learn so much from the lively debates (fights,
some like to say). I get to see many points of view and that forces me
beyond my comfort zone sometimes. Don't get any ideas, though, I'm not
planning on pressing my comfort zone far enough to do an NATRC just yet.
Maybe later....(never say never!)

I believe there are plenty of people that benefit from CTRs (NATRC, whatever
letters you want to use...yes, I know they're all different and have
different rules, but I tend to group them as CTRs, sorry if this is wrong.
I may try to learn all the rules of each...I may not).

I think you should stand up for NATRC! Advocates are needed on all sides!
:)

newbie type rider was asking about CTR as a way to learn about endurance
(I've been a little distracted, so I may have missed the true start of this
thread). I think it would be a shame if somebody failed to try NATRC based
on a few negative experiences and I would have felt disloyal if I hadn't
stood up for "my" sport.
