The problem with that is that I am amazed when I read the statistics of
how many riders attempt Tevis for their FIRST 100!  That's also what
bothered me about the statistics of "NATRC completions vs. "other". 
Somehow AERC members have to include all the first time "wonder if I
could do THAT" riders.  Tevis has such a reputation as a "Great
Adventure" and Old Dominion's been described to me as a "slave march in
the humidity".  I don't think the unprepared are nearly as likely to show
up and try OD on a whim...thus it probably has a higher completion rate.

By the way, Million Pines in the Southeast is one of the easiest courses
we have, flat firm sand.  It also has one of the lowest completion rates.
