I did say that I knew what an experienced endurance person Leigh was and I 
was surprised that she would stress such a young horse that way.  I was a bit 
strong in the language I used and should have toned it down some.  I am sick 
to death of watching some LDers race their horses literally to death and I do 
not apologize for questioning someone's methods when I feel the need.   I 
have had many posts already saying they felt the same surprise that I did 
when they read the original post.  Also one who emphaszied what a tough 25 
that particular ride is and that the pony looked great at the end (glad to 
hear it).  The other thing that maybe comes into factor (I didn't think of it 
at first) was how many 25ers there were.  Maybe 7th wasn't done at a sizzling 
pace.  Still sounds like a lot for a 4.5 year old horse.  But, as you point 
out, to each his own.  Happy trails!
