Proud flesh remedy?

My experience with proud flesh is that the more exercise a horse gets,
the less the chances are of proud flesh forming in the first place. I'm
not talking hard work, I'm talking constant movement. I have seen
horses with smaller proud flesh areas get rid of it just by turning them
out. I imagine that the constant movement helps the foot pump blood
back up the leg, and the therefore better circulation acts as a proud
flesh prevention.

Whatever remedy is used to rid a horse of already formed proud flesh,
combine it with lots and lots of gentle movement. Pasture the horse -
I'd imagine dry pasture would be better to encourage movement - you
could put the horse in a big area and feed many little piles of hay
spread all around the edge, to keep the horse moving. Some sort of
situation like that. Lif
