IN strangles vaccine,oil painting

Someone asked about reactions. On a DVM list I susbscribe to, there was
discussion of several cases of horses developing abscesses which, upon
culture, were the same strain as the vaccine. It was theorized that these
horses, which were also given regular IM vaccines at the same time, somehow
got the injection sites contaminated by the IN stuff.
Therefore, the Ft. dodge folks recommend that horses being given the IN
vaccine NOT receive IM injections at the same time.

And the painting being described--if it is a copy,  sounds like "Pharoah's
horses". Beleive it was J.Herring who apinted it.
