effectiveness of intra-nasal vaccine



Goodmorning!   I agree with Lovell that we need to cherish Susan, Lovell
and Ti , and all of those who have made their passions into their life's
work, as oppsed to lil' old me who "plays" at this horse stuff....I
REALLY appreciate the time these folks take to share and comment...thank
you..

Now, to the business at hand.  I hae had experience with two or three
different animals getting swelling and stiff necks or leg muscles from
IM strangles.  Additionally, I understand that it hasn't been very
effective, most older horses have sme immunity to strangles if they have
been around others....etc... I also respect what Karen says, that her
horse didn't get Washoe Virus  (I did imunize my mare this past year and
he did react with stiff neck and elevated temp for two days......... but
she had been brought in from the boonies.....) 

Point:   does the intranasal vacine work better or just reduce side
effect.  

As always,  thnaks, and I'll go have more coffee so I won't be so
