Connie, while I appreciate your comments, I'm not sure what prompted them
<g>, as I haven't suggested donating AERC money to Nature Conservancy or
any other specific group.  I have suggested creating a trail preservation
fund and like the idea of a check-off donation on our membership renewal
forms, and I would like to see the AERC more active at organizing its
membership for trail advocacy.

In a separate post to Ridecamp, I indicated a personal interest in the NC
because I like some of the things they have done in my area, but I never
intended to imply that the AERC should donate any of its funds to NC.
