If the white hairs are showing up in the summer coat, then you probably
had the damage occur when that coat was in the year before.  If the
sweat patterns were fairly even, it obviously wasn't a severe problem
that happened quickly.  I guess that it is safe to assume that he didn't
have the white hairs in his coat last year during the spring/summer.

My vote would be for the 1st saddle that you used from June 1998 thru
Jan 1999.  Saddle fit is so frustrating.  I hope your new saddle works
out for you!
