If you were not responsible for my post being printed without my
permission, my apologies to you. The way it's printed in "Mailbag"
makes it appear that it was part of a letter from you to EN.

When I talked to Doyle he claimed that he doesn't need my permission
to re-print my Ridecamp posts in EN. Well, as Mike points out, I'm
not about to go to court over it (I wouldn't anyway) -- but in fact
permission is required, and journalistic ethics requires it as well.
The fact that my words were printed with no context or reference to
the specific (and rather silly) claim by another person, a claim that
they were refuting, is what was most annoying.

I wonder why the subject was included in April EN anyway -- the
Convention and Board meetings were over, it was a dead issue for this
year. I had no intention of addressing it in EN, or any further on
Ridecamp.

It's a damn shame that such a divisive issue even exists in the first
place.
