Stone Bruse:

Hi, Here is more information. Yes my farrier did a hoof test 4 weeks ago
said it was tender so I just left it alone for 2 weeks, had one good
ride but the next ride same problem. I had my farrier pull shoes and
take a look. Hoof tester again did not find a problem but Sonny was
still off. I askes my farrier what he would do if Sonny was his and he
said put pads on for protection. Your question how lame is he Grade
I,II, III would have to say grade I. No swelling anywhere or heat. I am
going to give him a week and if no change I will take him to a vet and
if need be will remove the pads. Your comment about the pads trapping
moisture and bacteria has me concerned it makes sense. One question if
it was going to abcess how long would it take to do so? Would it have
already happened by now its been almost 4 weeks altogether. Thanks for
your help. Pam
