horses chasing dogs

A number of years ago, my friend and I were riding and someone who
didn't like where we were (OK, we were being illegal and riding on
hiking trails, but still...) actually sicced their dog on us.  My friend
promptly turned her stallion and chased the dog, with my mare
following.  It worked very well!  The dog turned tail and ran and
probably never went near a horse again!

Mickie and Akela (Don't worry, Mom, I'll just kick them inot the next
county!)
