Bob, read rule 1. and 1.1.1 (which I quoted in another reply).  I was
on the Board when we tightened the wording in those rules, to
explicity require a minimum of 50 actual miles.  It is not legal under
AERC rules to "round up" a 47.6 mile ride into a 50 -- if the ride is
an actual 47.6 miles, it is not legally sanctionable as an endurance
ride.

I'm not saying that short rides don't exist, but they are not *legal*
distances under our current rules.
