Wow, Lynn, I was going to write and ask a similar question. I had my
gelding worked on by a DVM accupuncture/chiro. He actually had been
going well, but it looked to me that one of his vertebrae looked "out".

Now when riding him, the best I can describe is that I feel like I'm
riding the front half of one horse and the back half of another. He
feels very discombubulated! However, he *looks* normal going, just
feels really weird. I particularly notice that I feel a lack of
impulsion and that his rear just kind of comes along (once again,
this doesn't look like what I'm describing). He doesn't feel
as if he is really using his hindquarters going down hills.

About 4 years ago we had the horse worked on by the same person, and
she told me that it often takes a couple of weeks for everything to
kind of settle in and jell again. Sure enough after a couple of weeks,
he felt really together again. So, I'm surely hopeing the same is
true now.

In the meantime, although he acts normal and is running and playing
prancing, spinning, etc., when I'm riding him, he is so rough (he
is a racking horse) I can hardly stand it.

I'm interested to hear other opinions.
