open shows

Actually, in an open show each horse should be judged according to it's
*own* standard.  Whether that is head carrige, gaits whatever.  The judges
of an open show should be familiar with them all IMHO.

Other show circuits for every other animal shown that I am familiar with
does this.  The problem here is the judges just don't know what those
standards are unless it happens to be in his specific breed.  This is not
what an open show should be about.

The winners in open competition should reflect which individule comes
closest to meeting it own standard.

Just my opinion.
