Wolverine, crews, ham radio, Jim

I just want to tell everybody how great and generous the crews were at the
Wolverine.
I went to this ride with a first time ever rider riding one of my horses on
the hundred and no crew. Found out real quick that this was not a ride to do
without a crew. It had been dry and in a fifty mile loop I found three places
to water the horses.
I want to thank all the wonderful crews that furnished my horses water. I was
not refused by anybody. We finally kept running into the Canadians that was
crewing for Earl Baxter and his group. Was riding about five minutes ahead of
them. There crew would water our horses and had water to pour over them.
They also offered help in camp. Then when I had to pull at 87 miles, Earl
took on my first time rider for the last loop in the dark. Thank you Earl and
all your crew and all the other crews that helped us.
Another thanks to the Ham operators. I had truck trouble and they went out of
there way to help me.
And we cannot forget Jim (trail boss). He helped with my truck after we got
there. Arrived at 12:30 am, just parked for the night planning to move next
morning. The truck never started again on its on. (pretty new battery with a
bad cell). Jim had to help me out twice that day. When we got ready to leave
Jim was busy and the Ham operators came to the rescue, but nothing helped.
Jim did a fantastic job on the trail, very well marked. This ride is a must,
but remember to bring a crew.

Thanks to all of the Wolverine folks,
Genie Wunderlich
