The Clemson Symposium

Betsey (and Vickie and whomever else is going), I've been to a bunch of
these conferences. Look for the table(s) where they put handouts, and
get a copy of whatever you think will be useful info for the future.
Then during the course of the convention, when different speakers are
scheduled, sometimes they will have specialized handouts to back up their
speech, so look for those too. You will wind up with a Lot of paper to
take home to sort out later on.
If you have handouts of what your group is doing, such as putting on a
ride, take some copies for the handouts table. Take some of your
business cards along to trade. Networking is important; you find out
what works here& there and why.
During the Q&A periods after lectures, if you have a question or have
points of information you think are important for the group to know, wave
your hand, get on your two hind legs, and speak up. It's the people who
are closest to the situation who have the best information. Sometimes
it's the disaster stories that teach the most.
It's always fun to meet like-minded enthusiasts for trails and
access, and you can really have a great time at these conferences.
Cheers (;-), Connie B (CA)
