Shaman

There was celebrating at the Wildcat Ride a week ago.  Lor Windows' mule,
Shaman of the Wallowas (part Appaloosa) completed 10,000 miles--a combination
of endurance and competitive.  Lori tells the funny story that the only time
Shaman didn't complete a ride was at 88 miles on a 100, when his pasture
mate/riding buddy got pulled.  Shaman went back to the trailer with Alpo, lay
down and refused to get up. He was fine, but he would NOT go out without his
pal.  When a mule decides to do, or not do, something NO ONE can change his
mind.  At the rate he's going, Shaman may complete another 10,000.
