Rattle snakes

This year I seem to be running into rattle snakes more aften than
previous years. Been averaging one sighting every ride so far this
summer (that's one a day). On one notable ride I had to dismount three
times to shoo them off the trail.

Is anyone else having this problem? How often does a moving horse get
bitten by one of these guys?
