Jumping into help

This is a thought I had today:-)
Please ask before jumping in to help. I don't mean if a horse or person
is in danger but for other things.
I was quietly coaxing my young horse into the trailer after her first
ride in the new trailer. I took her along for the ride to the farriers.
About 3 minutes had passed and she was standing quietly 1/2 in half out
just kind of accessing the trailer. She was being very brave until a
well meaning person jumped into help. Swatted her on the butt and
screamed get in there.
It didn't work:-) They tried to shove her in. We all know that rarely
works.

Loading today took a lot longer. She was nervous about a monster coming
from behind.
That thought had never entered her head before.
In a few seconds a well meaning person undid what we had patiently
worked on and added a few more things to get over.

Help is always appreciated it is just nice to be asked if you would like
some and what is the best way to help.
Paddi
