Re: help for riders knees

Hi,
I have knee damage, too, from being bucked off like I was on a blanket
toss and landing on the rocks. Western saddles stirrup leathers torque the
knees. They don't have a free swing, because the working cowboy doesn't want
a stirrup flipping all over on quick dismounts. Endurance saddles and
English saddles and Australian saddles are made for distance riding, to keep
the rider comfortable. I prefer the Australian, myself, also because on the
downhill the saddle takes all the work out of it, again, easing the knees.
However, if I insisted that everybody ride in an Australian saddle I
probably wouldn't have any friends left! To each his own. Judy, Duvall,
Wa.
