The point is--you achieved the same degree, whether at 31, or at 46, like my
mother did.  I never once heard her say it was more difficult because she had
to drag three kids along or because she was older, so maybe she shouldn't have
to finish this class or that.  You met the standard for a college
degree--congratulations!!  You did not try to say that a 2-year degree was the
same as a 4-year degree.  That doesn't imply a lack of respect for those with
2-year degrees.  When you have done a 50 miler, it will count toward your
endurance total, too, even if you are 60 when you do it, like my Dad was.
