	There have already been a lot of responses on ridecamp, but this is an
area where I feel very stongly.  I travel with a gun, and I ride with a
gun, I always have and always will.  

I was married to Deputy Sheriff for a few years and this was one good thing
I got from the relationship.  I have a five shot .22 'derringer' that will
fit in the palm of your hand.  It fits very easily into a jacket or jean
pocket and has a boot holster that fits inside the top of a riding boot or
any high top shoe.

A couple of points: 1) never, never, never carry a weapon unless you are
trained and especially dont point a gun at someone unless you are fully
prepared to use it!!!!!!!   2) this gun only has a accurate range of about
4-5 feet, it is (for me) for use as a last resort, as they reach for me.

There have been times when I was very glad to have it.
