Re: SADDR &Keeping in Some sort of shape in Winter



Hi Lovell - 

Staying in shape during the off season does take some imagination sometimes.
Since I live in the desert in the winter (mountains in the summer), I can
pretty much run, hike or bicycle all winter.

Some days, however, like yesterday where we got a snow storm & the temp.
dropped like a rock kept me in.  On these days, you can either find an
exercise show on cable or satelite like Espn & hip-hop, kickbox, step or
whatever they have for as long as you can stand it.  Personally, I look
forward to a "day off" which just means more work in another area like
laundry.

Other ways to get your heart rate up:

1.  Take a nap with the phone next to your head.

2.  Go get the morning paper barefoot.

3.  See if you can move that hot lid from the stove to the sink without an
oven mit.

4.  Set your answering machine to pick up after 2 rings & see if you can beat
it from       
     other side of the house.

5.  Read the conditioning tips in all your books & magazines & look outside to
see if
     you can get a ride in before the next storm.
