Re: 2 cents more!

I realize that, Tina, and I was truly joking when I said something about
wanting a big toy for a prize when I finish my first 100! I have heard
someone say to me and read here on ridecamp... the ride is the prize and that
is so true!!! I also hold to another saying from someone in our Michigan
group that it's the company, not the competition. I don't do any of it for
the ribbon or the prize... I guess I value the patches I get sometimes more
than anything else... the "I was there and did that!" kind of thing!! We do
it because we love it whether it is 25, 30, 50 or 100 or any combination in
between! Why else would we get up in the dark, freeze our butts, put up with
smelly porta potties (some places anyway, not every place), and all those
other little things that some people would think we are crazy for doing and
which we just take in stride cuz it's our sport?
