RE: Joint Jolt

Hi Bonnie,
I first learned about Joint Jolt from Marilyn Horstmeyer who LOVES
it. You can get it from Wal-mart. If I am not mistaken, Joint Jolt is
glucosomine only--that is, it does NOT contain any chondroitin. Wal-mart also
sells their own brand of glucosomine WITH chondroitin in a bottle labled "Pain
Free," which is what I take.
There is a book out on the best seller list right now called
"Arthritis Cure." Someone gave it to me, I read it, and decideded to try this
stuff for myself. I have osteoarthritis. One of my knees gives me a fit--very
hard to ride longer than 3 or 4 hours without substantial pain.
Anyway, the book details quite a bit about the European research
of these substances and their value to humans in the treatment of arthritis.
Basically, the European research supposedly proves that the
glucosomine and chondoitin supplements can help ease the suffering caused by
arthiritis ONLY IF taken WITHOUT anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin,
cataflan, voltarin, etc. Most Americans who are being treated for arthritis
will be taking anti-inflammatory drugs. I'm not a doctor or nurse or
anything.....I just suffer from arthiritis. Anyway, I decided to give it a try
about 2 months ago. I quit taking an expensive prescription drug called
Voltaren and started on the Wal-mart brand "Pain Free." So far, I have found
"Pain Free" to be the cheapest available source of glucosomine and
chondroitin. Daily dosage cost is about 50 cents.
So, how do I feel? I think it's too soon to tell. But it works on
horses, so it should work on humans too, right? (I hope). Maybe I'm kidding
myself, but my knee does feel slightly better. :-)
Just my 2 cents worth (and no, I don't sell it -- don't even own any Wal-mart
stock)
