HELMET: BEST BRAND?

Lynette,

Bicycle helmets don't cover enough area of the head. Also, helmets for
different sports are rated for the different activities. The impact received
from falling or being thrown from a horse would probably be greater than from
a bicycle. Plus, the altitude you started from with your fall would be
higher from a horse.

If helmet shops are limited in your area use mail order such as Jeffers
which is where I bought mine. If it doesn't fit you can send it back.
Jeffers is very good about returns. (1-800-JEFFERS) Jeffers usually has the
best prices.

Other catalogs include State Line, Libertyville Saddle Shop.

Helmets are definitely worth the trouble.
