A Gift from Canada!

	Angie, thanks for sharing the news about your little trophy;  I'm
really happy for you!  I didn't want to tell you this before because I
didn't want to sound pretentious, but I too have had a pleasant surprise.
Shortly after I scored major points on our last on-line debate and left you
speechless (see e-mail from LCorry to Rides2far/RideCamp dated 10/21/98,
2:16 p.m.), the current CEO of Wal Mart called me!!!  Apparently, someone
had been forwarding my RideCamp posts to him and he told me that after he
read them, he thought I would be perfect as their Vice-President in Charge
of Public Relations.  Not only that, they're sending me to Italy, Austria,
Great Britain and the Yakutsk Republic this coming year (all expenses paid,
of course) to promote their new line of sponges and demo them at various
endurance rides throughout those fair realms!  Starting salary will only be
$125,000.33 per year, but there is opportunity for growth and advancement
within the company.  Have fun with your trophy!

Hooray!!  I just got a package in the mail from Paddi in Canada....
Well...what do you suppose was inside?  A TROPHY!  It's a "Winged
Victory" with a tiny little sponge attatched to one of her upraised
hands...and at the bottom it is engraved: "Grand Champion Sponger of the
Universe!!"  ... Eat your heart out Lynda!!
