Re: Satellite photos of trails - no coverage



Have a heart. There was none for our area last year either. It takes
time to collate those things. I think it's off Russian satellites (US
government won't release anything better than 10 meters resolution)
and they used real film. They shot a whole bunch of low orbit cameras
and parachuted the film catridges back down. Many security advantages
to that system, but cut and paste has to be done by hand. So my guess
is that it takes a lot of time to compile the database.

Look up www.spot.com, it's a French system (I think) but you have to
pay for it.
