We just had about a 2 mile stretch of the Longstreet's Charge trail
ruined when they put in "Handicapped Access" hunting area.  It was a
beautiful, one lane shady sandy road that never mired up, but it did have
a couple of good sponging holes on the side.  They brought in a dozer and
made it look like a super-highway, then graveled it, so that a
"handicapped van" could get out to the point.  It's pretty disgusting.  I
guess they wanted them to be able to get to pretty places too...and it
USED to be a pretty place.
