duct tape/boots

Nicco,
        Just a word of caution on the duct tape....be certain not to tape the
horses senstive tissue. You probably already know this...but in case you
don't, the tape doesn't give. We had two mares out of commission, one for four
weeks and one for six weeks, from using the duct tape incorrectly with the
boots. They got these huge blister/bruises on their heels. Took forever to
heal. Had to soak them twice a day, cut off some dead tissue...it was awful.
They were low on their heels at the time. Perhaps your horse is not low on the
heels, then maybe it won't be a problem for you. Good Luck.
