No research here but with 3 horses in the barn - 1 with 4 black feet and 2 with
3 black and 1 white each, I haven't noticed a bit of difference in wear. Only
differences between the 3 horses is that 2 are Morgans (the all black foot and
one of the 3/1) and the other is Arab and two are mares and one is a gelding.
The only supplement they're getting is selenium/vit e to correct a difficiency
we have in our soil.
I think ground/weather conditions are apt to have more of an effect on hoof
condition.
