He will be going on grass Nov.1 and is in a dry lot right now. How soon
and often do I need to get him on some green grass before the
transition? If it is every other day will it upset him? He always eats
green grass when we ride but I know that pasture will be bright baby
green by Nov 1 the way things are going......

A rule of thumb is 3 weeks between one type of ration and another--a gradual
changeover during that time.
