Imagine getting into the vet check: immediatly someone's asking if you want
some Gatorade while another volunteer is patiently checking your horses p&r.
Then - am I dreaming or what - more friendly helpers are showing up with big
plates loaded with grapes, apples and bananas. More gatorade (I must have
guzzled 4 cups by now). An abundance of fresh carrots for the horses, besides
hay and bran mash (Scatris prefers the orange stuff). Volunteers everywhere,
offering to hold your horse, to get you more fruit, more drinks....
Most of all I want to thank everyone who helped and volunteered their time
for OUR benefit. I've been to rides where at a 15 minute hold, being without
a crew meant no potty break, no water bottle fill up etc.
And THANX to Terry for putting her heart and energy into managing these
wonderful rides.
