Manzanita

May we add to the list of fine experiences at Manzanita the other day? My
first ride (LD) on our Crabbet "gift horse" mare was astounding. She sould
have gone 50. She WANTED to. Does anyone else ride a Don Raffon horse? This
horse is an ANIMAL. Really. Although she is very good about listening, she
needs to be well- rated since she just FLIES! I can't WAIT to take her on her
first 50. Those beautiful trals at Manzanita made it easy for her to just
fly. Now, I had better shorten my stirrups to jockey length so I can stay
with her flying trot.

She had straight A's throughout except for an A- in gut sounds - who knows
why - she ate like a, well, like a HORSE! At any rate, had she not had a
junior in tow, she would have finished in an hour less time I think. I am
impressed with this big, sourpussed Crabbet mare. Anyone else ride one of
these horses?

And it was WONDERFUL to put faces with email addresses; Becky, Lauren - so
nice to know you really! And Lauren, thatnks for loaning me some britches so
i wouldn't get arrested for indecent exposure! See you at San Jacinto??
