Sally:

Once you begin working your new horse I would imagine that her back will =
change significantly since she has not been worked for a while. It =
would be difficult to find a saddle that will fit her now and will still =
fit her once she begins to change. I have an Albion dressage saddle =
which I compete in, it has a wide tree. But if I were beginning a new =
horse I would either try to make do for a while, or I would buy a sports =
saddle (the treeless saddle). I also have one and love it. Better yet, =
all of my horses love it and it fits them all. Good luck,

She's been standing around in the mare herd without a job for a few =
years. Did I mention that she is mutton withered? I need a new saddle =
with
a tree that will fit her. I want to stay with an english style if I =
can.
If she needs a custom tree then I will go to a Sharon Saare endurance
model, however, I'm hoping I can find something reasonably priced in an
english style. I'm currently using my trooper saddle which actually =
fits
her shoulder, but isn't comfortable for me with her big trot. =
suggestions on saddles that you have tried and liked? I ride dressage
so a balanced seat is pretty important to me.
