Dear Ridecampers,
I have recently run into a major problem and am going to ask for your
help on this one, because I trust all of your opions. My problem being that
yesterday I had my Equine Chiropractor out because my horse is sore in his
back well she looks at my Dressage saddle and told me that it was one of the
best fitting saddles ever. Then, she looks at my Endurance saddle and told
me it was okay fiitting on the left of the horse but on the right side, that
was another story! It was severly pinching his right shoulder blade. Now,
since the Dressage saddle fit properly and the Endurance didn't I can be sure
that it is not my horse that undeveloped on one side more than the other. We
took a look at the Endurance saddle and sure enough it's sewn on crooked. I
couldn't beleive it! Now, I'm thinking about returning the saddle and
looking for a new one BUT......now here is my question.........what about my
Dressage saddle for endurance? It fits well and so far it seems comfortable.
My only concern is, will it distribute my weight evenly over his back for a
long period of time? I am only 5'4" and weight 115 and have riden Dressage
for 7 years so being able to handle myself in a saddle like that is like 2nd
nature. So, my question is are they any of you out there riding in a
Dressage saddle, or have any of you know if it's possible to ride in a
Dressage saddle for endurance?
I would greatly appreciate any advice or opions you might have!!! I'm
at a 4-way stop and don't know where to turn!!! Thanks in advance!!

Sincerly,
Johnna Robb & AM Lilium Dream (who will one day be the best at what he does,
well maybe!!!)
