First, let me thank everyone who sent tips and info on buying fabrics for
making horsey stuff. I took everything I got from ya'll, did some
snooping on my own, and came up with the following list of resources:

The Rain Shed -- widely acclaimed -- 707 NW 11th, Corvallis OR 97330,
phone (541) 753-8900. They carry lots of outdoor fabrics, including 1000
denier Cordura in TWENTY-NINE COLORS!! HOORAY!! I just ordered some
neon orange at $13/yard -- good prices too. They will send free catalog and
swatches. Also very nice on the phone. No neoprene.

Textile Outfitters, Inc., Calgary AB Canada, phone (403) 543-7676 has all
that and more, including several thicknesses of neoprene and
neoprene-type fabrics, with a lycra knit bonded to one side or without
... but this stuff ain't cheap, $50/yard and up depending on thickness.
They will send you a free catalog, too, so you can scheme & dream. <g>
Also very nice on the phone. (forgive this Southern girl for being
constantly surprised when she encounters a nice Yankee :,)

SuitAbility has a catalog of patterns for horse & rider gear, from hunt
coats to shipping boots and everything in between. Free catalog
available if you call 1-800-207-0256 or email SuitAbil@aol.com or write
to P O Box 3244, Chico, CA 95927-3244. They also have a list of fabric
suppliers much longer than mine (didn't want to type it all in for ya
:). Didn't talk to them on the phone, but I assume they're nice too!
