Dave,

Thanks for the advice. I'm am really ignorant about using the
crupper and the breastcollar. Could you please tell me how to
fit them to my horse. Will they help to keep my horse from getting
sore even with my big western saddle? My first ride will be only
13 miles but it will be alot of sand hills. I would hate to think that
I am causing my horse pain. He is the sweetest Arabian that I
have ever had the priviledge to train. A couple of months ago
I took him into some very thick brush, lots of swamp and fallen
trees to go over. He never refused me once and he had never
been ridden in anything but flat, open land. He never even shyed
from anything. He has alot of heart, will do anything that I ask of him.
I have raised him from a foal and I have taught him to trust me.
Now I am hurting him with the saddle. Breaks my heart :-(
