Here is the ultimate in endurance riding for you.

Joe Costillo of Ft. Collins, Colorado is riding his horse Indio to
Washington D.C. He is riding about 30 miles a day and has a crew of
one - a friend who goes ahead and sets up camp each day (How's that
for ride management!). The purpose of the ride is to fulfill a dream
to see the country he and his buddies discussed in Viet Nam. Most of
those buddies didn't return, so Joe is finally getting to do this
ride for them. In one article I read, Joe commented that he doen't
think it will be possible much longer to make such a trip on
horseback - a topic of concern to all of us who ride distance and
trail!

As for Indio - nothing was said about him in the articles but he
looks like a grey Arab or Arab cross in the photos.

Linnea & Pesadilla (Can we go too?!)
