A simple cost breakdown follows for a ride with 108 participants in No. CA
this year (Wine Country 25/50)

AERC and state drug fees: 826.00
Banquet: 800.00
insurance: 108.00
awards: 432.00
trail markers: 175.00
Farrier: 100.00
Hay: 150.00
Parking facility: 590.00
Postage: 75.00
Vetinary expanese: 1400.00
Porta Potty: 250.00

We did make a profit, which we donated to trail oragnizations in our area
and we also had all of our awards donated (award expense above is
certificates, embroderiy etc.)

Next year I am scalling down the ride a bit. I think we will not have lots
of awards, etc. Just a good tough ride, good food and a fun time. Though I
doubt this will bring the price down much. :-)
