Actually, I just read an article in 'The Horse' which compared the results of
several studies of dewormers' effectiveness against embedded small strongyle
larva. These things are hard to kill (they dig into the mucosa of the
digestive tract) and cause things like unexplained colic,
edema of belly and legs, unexplained weight loss.Pretty scary since many
horses have these symptoms. Anyway, moxidectin was more
effective than ivermectin at killing these things, and fenbendazole was the
