My sister and I both noticed knee problems which we described as stiff and
painful especially with any movement after a ride with the pain centered
where we imagined the lower knee cap to be. I always thought it was genetic
until recently when I started doing other types of exercise and got the
same pain. I thought I'd have to go to a specialist and get some brace or
something to get my legs tracking right. When I asked the physical
therapist at my health club to recommend a doctor he suggested I try some
stretching first because I have very tight quads from all that posting
action associated with riding. Since he mentioned it, I learned the correct
way to stretch and do this before and after each ride as well as a few
times each day just to increase flexibility in an area I've obviously
neglected all my life. It is helping immensely. Perhaps some of you can
find a similarly FREE and easy fix. Heaven forbid it interfere with riding!
