Last week my friends mare, who is a known kicker in the trailer, was in
the front of the slant load with the gate closed and she kicked and got
her hind leg stuck over the gate. Very Bloody, very noisy, very
frightening. In the end, the second horse who was in the rear area was
kicked a few times and the mare was stitched up, O.K. but sore.

Any way to prevent it? I don't know. I have a slant also, but at least
my horse is not a kicker.
