More easyboot questions

Well, I have started my "experiment" with the easyboots on my mare. So
far so good I think! They really aren't that difficult to get on and off as
long as you have the flat blade screwdriver to remove them. It is taking
me just under 10 minutes to put on all four and the same amount of time to
take them off.

But for my question. She seems to be moving very well with them but
after longing her last night I saw that the back of the boot had rubbed her
above the heel on her right hind foot. When I had longed her previously
with the larger size boots and her shoes on this didn't happen on any of
her feet. Do I now need to trim the boots down because she is barefoot?
I read the directions on how to trim them. It says to trim on the line.
Should I do this on all four boots even thought so far only one gave her
trouble? Also, have I really hurt her? Looking at the sore it looks like it
just took off the top layer of skin. I put on some antiseptic ointment with
fly repellent so she would hopefully heal fast and not be bothered by the
flies. Can I try her again tonight with the cut down boots or should I let
the sore heal another day? She didn't seem too bugged by it, so I guess
that's a good sign.

Thanks for help with all my questions. I am really hoping this new
strategy works for us or else it will be back to pads and nail on shoes.
