"VI. HINTERTAUNUS-DISTANZ 14. Jun 97 - 97 KM"
------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the nature park "Taunus-Mountains" northly of the Rhein/Main-Region
this weekend we proceed our yearly event. As the starting area is on
public land and the parking space is restricted, the number of starters
are limited. The ride is very popular so we had to close the entry-list
5 weeks before the ride and many riders couldn't enter. The weather on
the ride's day was a mixture of sun, clouds and rain. Not too hod and
the footing was comfortable. Except for some difficult parts, there is
no marking on the trail. The riders were experienced, nobody got lost.

As usual, there was a lot of fun at the party on the campfire (starting
on Friday afternoon ending Sunday night). Because our mixed weather
experience due to the last years, we setup big tents so the ridecamp was
comfortable. The musical entertainment included 3 guitars, vocals and
bagpipes. Also board and beverage was extravagant.
