Great statement! And if you replace "horses" with any other animal bred by
people for show, it still rings true.

The show ring does have a place. But when you look at your animals as an
investment opportunity and breed for fashion trends instead of for
improvment of the breed, you end up with animals that can only survive in
the show ring.

Not to pick only on dog breeders, but can you say "hip dysplacia" ? Good -
because I can't spell it!
