I agree people choose the 100 over the 75 sometimes because of the points.
Would it be possible to change the point system to allow 1.25 pt/mile for
75 without rewriting the $$$$computer program? This might also encourage
more people to try the 75 & then move up to 100. (What's another 25 mi.?!)
There's nothing like a 100 for bonding with your horse.
I would also like to offer this tip regarding trailer hinges:GRease!
I'm a grease magnet & hate ending up with black smudges, but trailer doors
not used daily can bind, especially in wet weather and over the winter.
In response to customer demands for lighter trailers some manufacturers use
thinner metal than they used to. a "sticky Hinge" can cause it to break.

PS I can remember when everyone was weighed before a ride, only the top
ten after. This was in the central region, too. It was such a hassle for
riders & management. Although its easier now, if you don't make the weight
after the ride, it's already over. your points will count for the lower
weight division.
