In South Africa we have a rule that no novice (new) endurance rider
can compete unless they first complete 240 km or 3 rides with an
experienced rider. This is great because going to your first ride is
very very scary for both horse and rider.I aam lucky enough to have
a wonderful husband and wife couple living near me who have many
miles of experience and who have really looked after Jafaar and I-
training, advice and moral support We finished our first ride and at the
end I said " I wouldn't of been able to do this without you" Their
answer? "You wouldn't have been able to do it without Jafaar" My
kind of people!!I never feel stupid even if I do ask the stupidest
questions of them and other riders -eveyone is happy to share their
experiences and that is what makes endurance people different to
many other equiestrian people.

Cindy and Jafaar(Now I've done that , can I stop now?)
