My dismount stories:

1. The arena is undergoing its annual spring thaw. It is fair footing with
one short side that is DEEP MUD. My horse is feeling her oats as we canter
along. Suddenly we are overtaken by a maniac going all out and hollering for
all he's worth. Well we couldn't let them pass us could we? Brenna goes into
a dead run, the corner is comming up fast. We make the turn, doing great and
BAM! Brenna hit the mud and did a full somersault, head over heels, and came
up galloping. I stayed with her on the way down, but came off when she was on
her back. I was squished into the mud untill there was nothing sticking out
above the ground. Luckily I was unhurt, just very very muddy.

2. Same horse, next day. We decided that the arena was perhaps a bit deep to
be riding in, so we are practicing in the yard. Doing a nice collected
canter, just as I ask for a flying change a dog darts under Brenna's feet.
She takes all four feet off the ground, does a lovely pirouette, forgets to
put the feet back down. She landed flat on her stomach. I somehow landed on
my feet next to her (don't ask me how). The barn owner laughed so hard she
fell down. She said she wanted some warning the next time I was going to ride
so she could video us, she knew she'd win the $10.000
